Marketing and Development Intern

Job Description

You will be assisting the Executive Director in digital media and traditional platforms. You will be assisting with development including fundraising events, monthly giving, mail campaigns, and third-party events. This position is available for remote work during the winter months. 

 

Digital Marketing: 

- Increase social media following

- Create daily and weekly content (client testimonials, volunteer stories, tips, and shout outs)

- Participate in any Dress for Success Worldwide promotions 

- Participate in marketing required for special campaigns (Yellowstone Valley Gives, Giving Tuesday)

- Facebook Lives

- Update and maintain Dress for Success Billings website

 

Traditional Marketing: 

- Creating content for newletters and thank you letters 

- Assisiting with radio and TV interviews 

- Create Press Releases 

- Create hanging flyers for Special Events

 

Special Projects: 

- Capture photos and video from volunteers to use in various marketing campaigns 

- Capture photos of clients for social media

- Work with local businesses to schedule fundraising events (bingo night, pint night, Red Robin) This includes restaurants, coffee shops, bars, etc. 

Qualifications

- Must be proficient in all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok)

- Must have compassion for people 

- Must be willing to be flexivle and adaptable as everyday is different.

- Basic experience utilitzing outlook and gmail 

- Good public speaking skills 

- Customer service skills

- Detailed oriented

Business Operations and Development Intern

Job Description

You will be assisting the Executive Director in community outreach, volunteer and client support, client database reconciliation, and program support for both the Suiting and Career Center Program. This position is required to be at location. 

 

Boutique Related: 

- Increase participation of program clientele by conducting scheduling follow-ups, surveys, and assessing the needs of the clients

- Be willing to fill in as a Personal Shopper in the absence of a volunteer (this is a great outlet for expressing your fashionista side) 

- Assist with collecting donated items and preparing the boutique when short staffed of volunteers 

- Assist in gathering materials for any Career Center workshops (making packets, copies, or listing needed supplies) 

- Answer phones when in the office and schedule clients for their suiting appointments 

 

Operations Related: 

- Assist in corresponding with volunteers for specific announcements 

- Assist in lunch n learns and training opportunities 

- Learn and utilize our Volunteer Portal system 

- Assist in data entry 

- Restocking and cleaning the boutique when needed 

- Participate in community fairs and community outreach when schedule allows 

- Assist in various fundraising events 

 

Development Related: 

- Assist in planning annual gala and other fundraisers 

- Assist in Grant research and applications 

- Assist in community outreach

- Schedule fundraising events (bingo night, pint night, Red Robin) This includes restaurants, coffee shops, bars, etc.

 

Qualifications

- Must be familiar with computers, Word, Excel, and be willing to learn new computer systems 

- Must have good customer service

- Must have compassion for people 

- Be detailed oriented
